The top two vote recipients will become full Gov. Council voting members, the next two will be our parent alternates, who will vote in the event a full member is absent when a vote is conducted. ALL members of our Woodlake community are welcome to attend meetings and make their voices heard.

Governance Council

The Governance Council is the decision-making body of our school that meets monthly on a Thursday at 2:30pm. It is made up of parents elected by parents, teachers, an administrator, and other staff. The council votes on how to spend our charter money, adding or changing school policies, and other educational matters. Meetings are open to anyone who wants to attend. You will need to submit a short statement to be displayed for review by parents voting at Back to School Night.

What are Woodlake’s Committees?

Committees are formed around needs or areas where parents, staff and administration find problem solving together to be best for our school community. They are groups that help with school clean ups, safety supply updates, positive behavior programs and many more. These committees bring their solutions to issues around campus to the Governance Council for implementation and/or funding. Woodlake welcomes all parents and guardians to join one of our many committees! Committees include Garden, Safety, Positive Behavior, Beautification/Communication, Budget, and Technology. The committees all meet once a month on Tuesdays at 1:30pm. Info on upcoming meetings to come....
