School tours for the 2016-17 school year are happening now. Please contact our office at 818-347-7097 for the next scheduled tour date.
The tours will begin in the school auditorium promptly at 8:15 a.m. Reservations are not required.
Resident Student Application for Admission
Resident students are those who reside within Woodlake’s attendance area (see LAUSD School Finder.) Resident students will be given priority enrollment preference.
You must provide an address verification documentation or other proof of residence (see Address Verification, below.) If Woodlake administration is unable to verify your address, you will not be allowed to apply as a resident. Upon address verification, you will receive a Resident Application Packet to be completed.
In the unlikely event that Woodlake exceeds it capacity, the school administration will consult with its local LAUSD Education Service Center to ensure, to the maximum extent possible, that the school enroll every resident student who wishes to attend.
All resident applicants' addresses will be verified again shortly before the start of the school year. Class assignments will be available at the Back-to-School Fair the Friday before the first day of school. If you are unable to attend the Back-to-School Fair, your child’s class assignment will be mailed a few days before the start of school.
Non-Resident Student Application
Non-resident students are those who reside outside of Woodlake’s attendance area. Non-resident students are encouraged to apply and will be admitted via a Non-Resident Waitlist Lottery if space is available. The lottery was held on Friday, April 15th, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. in the school auditorium. Your presence was not required. The wait list will not be published, but you may call the office on the next business day following the lottery to find your child's position on the wait list.
Woodlake may admit students from the non-resident wait list from time to time. This usually happens during the first month of school. If you are invited to attend Woodlake, you will be asked to fill out an application packet at that time.
Non-resident students who fill out the Non-Resident Application Sheet after the close of the Application Period will be added to the wait list in order received.
Non-resident siblings of current students have no enrollment preference and will need to apply through the non-resident lottery.
Your address will be verified. LAUSD considers a child’s residence to be the place where that child actually lives. For example, if you own or lease property within Woodlake’s boundaries but do not reside at that address, you may not use that property’s address to apply for admission to Woodlake. LAUSD and Woodlake would consider such an application to be fraudulent.
If it is discovered that you falsified your address, we are required to transfer your child out immediately. Providing false documents will bar you from enrolling your child at Woodlake for the remainder of the current semester plus an additional semester.
Resident Application for Current School Year or for 2016-17 After Close of Application Period
If you have recently moved and now reside within Woodlake’s attendance area boundary (LAUSD School Finder,District Boundary Map) and wish to apply for the current school year already in session, please call the school office at (818) 347-7097. It may take up to one week to verify your address - no student will be admitted as a resident without prior address verification.
